Sing for Hope: Social Organization to Help Others

Doing charity work is always great, especially if everyone involved in it realize that they can do something to make a change. Even by doing the simplest and the smallest thing can really make a difference. Well, the same idea is incorporated by social organization called as Sing for Hope, with their Pop-Up Piano program. The foundation is a social organization that asks for helps from musicians through social work and activities in order to help the communities, hospitals, and even schools. Since most of the workers are musicians who are willing to do non-profit and non-paid social work, most of the programs are involving musical projects and shows.

The musical program started out in London and since the show showed a great result, the organization has started to set up annual musical work in New York. Last year, the show was held in New York with piano exhibition with the theme “Play Me, I’m Yours”. During that event, Paul Sahner also performed his jamming action at the Central Park. For this year’s show, the organization has prepared and provided about 88 novel pianos so public can play them all. The city piano is set up for the public, so anyone interested in music can always make use of the pianos. The program lasts until the 2nd of July. And those pianos aren’t just regular pianos; they’re al decorated and adorned by the local artists, including the artist Olek.

The charity program has involved more than 700 talented artists that volunteer their time and their energy to make sure that the charity program will work out well. The organizations can still make use of donations or help provided by anyone, if people are interested to be involved in social work to help others. After all, isn’t it nice to be able to do something for others and make a change in their life?
